When Kagere's father passed away, his mother was left to fend for them, and this was a very tough time for them as they were thrown out of their home by his father's relatives. Kagere's mother tried to find a good place to live but failed, because her income from washing clothes in the community was too little. The Neighbourhood team at Divine Hearts learnt of their plight and offered the family housing. Kagere's mother was then enrolled into the program for skilling and discipleship, and soon Kagere too was enrolled at Emka Junior school to receive quality education.

As the COVID-19 pandemic races across the globe, Divine Hearts Foundation is responding. We are finding new ways to deploy our experience, technologies, staff and Community Agents to help the most vulnerable people in the countries we serve.
Divine Hearts has launched COVID-19 Emergency Relief, an initiative to provide unconditional cash payments and Basic needs to carefully targeted and qualified communities in the most vulnerable areas we serve. Unconditional cash relief will give women, & youth the dignity of using cash where they know it is most needed—healthcare, food, housing—it’s up to them.
With thousands of Community Agents already providing financial services in these areas, Divine Hearts has the infrastructure to screen and identify beneficiaries, safely deliver cash payments, evaluate impact and prevent fraud.
We need your help now to ensure that women around the world have access to the emergency cash they need to keep themselves and their families healthy. Please donate today.
